The
Clean Air Act & The Chemical Products Industry
[ send
me this paper ]
A 15 page paper. In an effort to be responsible corporate
citizens and to remain one step ahead of forced regulation
such as that overseen by the Environmental fcy (EPA), the
chemical products industry and chemical manufacturers trade
associations have adopted 'Responsible Care.' The motto is
'Don't trust us, track us.' EPA is approaching attainment of
the requirements of the 1996 additions to the 1990 Clean Air
Act with common sense. Combined with the commitment of the
chemical products industry, there is real progress underway
to total attainment by the target date of 2002, and many of
the world's countries are already adopting variations of the
programs. Bibliography lists sixteen sources.

Winning
in the World Market
[ send
me this paper ]
A 5 page paper exploring ways that a developing third world

sovereignty and protecting their environments. Points
discussed in the paper include developing well-defined plans
for development, dispersing the multinationals throughout
the nation to provide greater opportunity for the people,
forming liberal tax policies that encourage business and
implementing the environmental standards determined by the
US EPA. Bibliography lists 4 sources.

The
Abiotic Environment
[ send
me this paper ]
A 2 page paper discussing the contribution of the abiotic
environment to the support of life. That the abiotic
environment is itself without life in no way diminishes its
effect on the biotic component of the ecological web. The
abiotic component encompasses environmental qualities such
as water, temperature, acidity, nutrients available, osmotic
pressure, light, soil structure and others. At its base, the
entire system is driven by the energy of the sun, whether in
terms of heat or light, and water is essential. The paper
describes a picture of the activity contained on and within
the forest floor. Bibliography lists 1 source.
